Dear Friends,

As you may know by now, we have a serious problem with the ceiling of the South Aisle and this will be very expensive to repair. In fact it is likely to cost around £40,000 +VAT and take up all of our building fund reserves which means that we'll have to put our repair, conservation and refurbishment project on hold for the foreseeable future.

We've hired a specialist company to undertake the repairs, which they hope will be completed by 18th December. The South Aisle will be "out of bounds" until then and will be blocked off from the Nave by plastic sheeting.
Services and events will continue as usual unless otherwise stated (see diary)
